About Dr. Shah

  • I am a board-certified urologist committed to delivering exceptional, comprehensive care across the full spectrum of urology, with a particular focus on urologic cancers and reconstruction. I am dedicated to supporting patients through every stage of their cancer journey — from treatment to survivorship — helping them reclaim their quality of life and sense of well-being.

    I completed my urology training at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the nation’s most rigorous and comprehensive programs. This foundation equipped me with advanced skills in both minimally invasive robotic surgery (using the Da Vinci system) and traditional open techniques. I also received extensive specialized training in urologic reconstruction under leaders in the field, allowing me to offer complex procedures such as ureteral and urethral reconstruction. I perform a high volume of urologic prosthetic surgeries, including inflatable penile prostheses, artificial urinary sphincters, and male and female slings, with consistently strong long-term outcomes. I am one of the few surgeons in Pinellas County performing pelvic floor reconstruction for women with pelvic organ prolapse.

    My greatest passion is caring for patients with urologic cancers. I am the only surgeon in Pinellas County offering radical cystectomy with urinary diversion for muscle-invasive bladder cancer, having received intensive training in the management of advanced urothelial carcinoma. I also specialize in the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, prostate, kidney and testicular cancers. Notably, I am one of the few surgeons nationwide performing single-port transvesical radical prostatectomy, in addition to conventional robotic approaches.

    I am privileged to bring this advanced, life-changing care close to home for patients throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area.
